Creating Volumes and Exporting VDBs out of C4D R20 and R21
Learn the basics of making and exporting Volumes (as VDB's) in Cinema 4D R20 and R21. The process for R20 is the same but the locations for the objects may differ. You can import the VDB you made into any other render engine that supports VDB's, like Octane.
Gaea and Octane Time Lapse: Alien Landscape
I was going to add more texturing and other things but Octane crashes on me whenever I move the camera too much. So, I tend to lose interest when that happens a lot. I was also going to give it an Alien atmosphere... decided to just finish it up. In any case, enjoy. Clouds were made in Vue (exported as VDB). Gaea for the landscape. C4D and Octane for final render. 7 minute render time. Music By: Apocalypse Orchestra. Song: The Garden of Earthly Delights All rights belong to them. :)
Gaea and Octane Time Lapse: Surrounded
This was a frustrating scene to make. Octane insisted on crashing. C4D insisted on crashing... my scattered objects weren't behaving. I hate the water. However, it was a fun one to make and I learned a lot. I hope you enjoy, none the less. Music By: Jeremy Soule. All credits belong to Jeremy for the music.
